Data Deletion Policy
Version 1.0 · Effective 22 October 2026
This policy explains how you can delete your SLV Tools account, what we delete, what we keep and how long the process takes. It applies to accounts on the Service operated by FG Event Tech [legal entity name to be confirmed]. It should be read together with our Privacy Notice.
1. How to request deletion
- Sign in to the Service.
- Open Account Settings.
- Choose Request account deletion and confirm.
If you cannot sign in (for example because you no longer have access to your email address), email [privacy contact email to be confirmed] from the address you registered with, or provide enough information for us to verify that the account is yours. We will not delete an account on an unverified request.
2. Before you request deletion
- Export your data first if you want to keep a copy. You can request a data export from Account Settings. Once deletion is complete we cannot recover your data.
- If you are the only owner of an organisation, you must first either transfer ownership to another member or close the organisation. The deletion request will not proceed until this is done. This protects your colleagues from losing access to shared project records without warning.
- Google sign-in: deleting your SLV Tools account does not affect your Google account. If you wish, you can also remove SLV Tools from the list of connected apps in your Google account settings.
3. What happens next
- Your account is deactivated promptly and you will no longer be able to sign in.
- You are removed from all organisations you belonged to.
- We process the deletion within 30 days of a verified request. During this window the account is inactive but recoverable in case the request was made by mistake; to cancel, contact [support email to be confirmed] as soon as possible.
- Backups that still contain your data roll off automatically on our backup schedule after that.
4. What we delete
- your profile: name, email address, contact number, country and sign-in credentials;
- your marketing preferences and consent records, except the minimum needed to honour an opt-out;
- organisations you owned and closed as part of the process, including their equipment lists, vehicle profiles, plans, contacts and uploaded files;
- personal data attached to your membership of other organisations, such as your name on an activity log, which is anonymised or removed.
5. What we may keep
We may retain some records after deletion where we have a legitimate reason or are legally required to:
- records we must keep under applicable law (for example tax, accounting or dispute-related records), for as long as the law requires;
- security and abuse-prevention logs, kept for a limited period and then deleted;
- a minimal record that a deletion request was received and completed, so that we can demonstrate compliance;
- anonymised or aggregated data that no longer identifies you.
6. Organisation records are not deleted when a member leaves
Project records inside an organisation (such as loading plans, equipment lists and vehicle profiles) belong to the organisation, not to the individual who created them. When you leave an organisation or delete your account, the organisation keeps its records so that its ongoing work is not disrupted. Your personal identifiers are removed or anonymised in those records where practical. If you want an organisation to delete specific content you created, contact that organisation's owner.
7. Deleting individual content without closing your account
You can remove individual items (for example a plan, a photo or a contact) directly in the Service at any time, subject to your role in the organisation. Removed items are deleted from live systems and then roll off backups on schedule.
8. Questions
Contact [privacy contact email to be confirmed] for questions about deletion or to exercise other rights described in our Privacy Notice. If you are not satisfied with our response, you may complain to the Malaysian Personal Data Protection Commissioner (JPDP) or the data protection authority in your country.
